A directory with standards.
We started Chris Directory because finding a reliable plumber shouldn't feel like a gamble. Today we help thousands of Singaporeans find businesses worth their time and money.
It started in 2021 when our founder Chris spent three weekends chasing a contractor who never showed up. So he started a spreadsheet of businesses friends actually trusted. That spreadsheet became Chris Directory, and every listing still gets a human check before it goes live.
Trust is the product.
Human-verified
No listing goes live without a real person checking registration, licences and contact details.
Fair for everyone
Paid plans buy visibility, never ratings. Reviews can't be bought, hidden or edited by businesses.
Local first
We champion independent and family-run businesses alongside the big names.
Four checks before the badge.
Every business re-verifies once a year to keep its badge.
Registration
We confirm the UEN and business status against official records.
Licences
Trade, health or professional licences checked where the law requires them.
Contact check
We call and message the listed numbers to confirm they reach the business.
Visit or video
A short in-person or video walkthrough confirms the business is real and operating.
Small team, big spreadsheet.
